Angelica A.D. is a dynamic artist whose music transcends genres, weaving together elements of Christian, experimental, and trance influences. Born into a family of creative visionaries, she’s the daughter of a renowned psychedelic artist and a well-trained musician. Unfortunately, there was an irreversible schism in her family, starting at 6 months old and lasting until she was 6 years old, so her destiny was planted in darkness and unfolded in chaos which forced her to seek healing.
From a young age, she displayed an extraordinary talent in art of all its forms. Her mom taught her drawing at age 5, and by the age of 10, she was crafting melodies on a mini guitar, a gift from her father. Her first song learned on guitar, The Beatles’ “Blackbird,” sparked the making of her own chords and the discovery of her unique voice, and passion for songwriting. She began recording original songs at the age of 11 in professional studios her mom brought her to, even collaborating with a band when she was 14 on a song called ‘Open Your Eyes’, all of this marked a turning point in her character development, as setbacks fueled her artistry. Despite facing serious personal challenges during her formative years, and being imposed on by people who came in through the cracks of her family structure, she still somehow found a ray of light in the form of a book, ‘Piercing the Darkness.’ The book offered her profound insights into the reality of spiritual warfare which cured her confusion regarding the many past traumatic events. This newfound clarity redirected her music into a new genre, Christian. She found the strength to mend her broken spirit and pave a better path toward her goal.
